DAVID MALUSÀ

Award-winning concert pianist, chamber musician and teacher.

Biography

Italian pianist David Malusà is an acclaimed soloist, chamber musician and teacher, who trained at The Royal College of Music. 

​

Malusà has been a prizewinner of several national and international competitions, including First Prize at Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition, and Second Prize at the Berlin International Piano Competition Paul Hindemith.

 

Highlights include performing with Orchestra National de Murcia, Orpheus Orchestra, Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra and Goodensemble Orchestra. He has also presented solo recitals at Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cheltenham Town Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus (Germany), Mezin Theatre Cote-Cour (France), and Steinway Hall Willmington DE (USA).

He has released an album of Robert Mansell's late piano works (Quartz) and of his live Wigmore Hall recital (S.W. Mitchell Capital Records), and is currently preparing a recording of Schubert's Impromptus, along with a further album of Mansell's work - songs for Tenor and Soprano.​

Passionate about teaching, David is honoured to be Head of Keyboard at Wellington College, UK. He has given masterclasses throughout the UK and in China, and is a regular member of the Faculty at Piano Week International Festival & Summer School.
